What happened
Ziaire Williams practiced fully Thursday after a minor foot injury had slowed his preseason progress, and he may return for the Lakers’ preseason finale Friday against Denver, pending the medical staff’s decision.
The forward made an early impression in Los Angeles’ first preseason game by pressuring the ball full court, energizing teammates and hitting three 3-pointers in his debut for his hometown team.
If Williams is cleared, he could give the Lakers another wing option for Friday’s tune-up. His availability still hinges on the final medical call, and he has already missed the last three games.
