What happened
Golden State beat Los Angeles 101-89 in Las Vegas while Kristaps Porzingis was absent and Al Horford also sat out, leaving Steve Kerr short on the spacing needed for his five-out approach.
Rookie Yaxel Lendeborg again drew notice, scoring 17 points with five rebounds and four assists in just under 24 minutes while showing enough versatility to fit Kerr’s offense.
Porzingis’ availability remains a key rotation variable, and Golden State’s frontcourt/spacing mix is still unsettled heading into Friday’s preseason finale. Lendeborg’s showing gives Kerr another option, but his defensive consistency still needs work.
