What happened
Golden State heads into its fifth preseason game Tuesday in Las Vegas against the Lakers after beating Sacramento, with Stephen Curry still under a 14-minute limit and the team testing a small-ball look that has included Draymond Green at center.
Steve Kerr said Porzingis will meet the medical staff at Chase Center on Tuesday, and he is leaning toward an opening-night group of Curry, Brandin Podziemski, Gui Santos, Yaxel Lendeborg and Green.
That mix could get another trial run against Los Angeles, but Porzingis’ status remains unresolved and keeps the regular-season frontcourt picture open.
