What happened
Golden State opened the season with a 127-105 loss in Los Angeles, while Stephen Curry’s early ankle concern faded as he scored 23 points.
With Brandin Podziemski sidelined by low back soreness, De'Anthony Melton started alongside Curry, and Steve Kerr kept Curry and Draymond Green aligned in substitutions.
LINEUP CONTEXT
Podziemski’s absence and the staggered substitutions suggest Golden State may keep adjusting its guard rotation until it finds enough creation without Curry.
