Brandin Podziemski is out for Wednesday’s opener with back soreness, while Charles Bassey also sits with knee tendinitis and Steph Curry’s ankle scare was only a mild tweak.
An ESPN report says Kristaps Porzingis’ absence has him seriously contemplating his basketball future, and Golden State said it is not expecting him around the team soon.
Golden State’s frontcourt shortage could force heavier minutes or different combinations, especially if Porzingis remains away and Bassey cannot cover center minutes.
