Minnesota reportedly agreed to a one-year, $40 million extension for Jaden McDaniels in 2029-30, according to ESPN’s Shams Charania, and he is already under contract for the next two seasons.
The deal leaves McDaniels signed through 2030 at $124 million total, underscoring his role as a key two-way forward for the Timberwolves.
This does not change Minnesota’s immediate lineup, but it reinforces McDaniels as a long-term rotation anchor on the wing. The extension also reduces uncertainty about a future contract decision.
