What happened
Oklahoma City opens the season Oct. 20 at San Antonio and Oct. 22 against Denver, and the preview says Sam Presti effectively confirmed Cason Wallace as a starter while Ajay Mitchell competes for the other guard spot.
The piece also says rookie Aday Mara could push for a timeshare with Isaiah Hartenstein, as the Thunder again enter a season built around depth after last year’s injury-heavy run.
Wallace appears to have a clearer starting path, but the second guard and backup-center spots still look unsettled. If Mara’s preseason role holds, Oklahoma City’s frontcourt minutes could be split more than expected.
