Arizona Sports insider John Gambadoro says Jamaree Bouyea is in line for Phoenix’s 14th standard roster spot, and he expects the Suns to use their flexibility on two-way players instead of filling all 15 standard places.
Gambadoro also says no formal cuts or announcements have been made yet, but that roster news should come after tomorrow’s preseason finale against Utah, with Haywood Highsmith the likeliest cut if the plan holds.
If Phoenix stays at 14 standard contracts, the last roster decisions will shape who is available for opening night and which players remain on nonstandard deals. The final call is still pending until the team makes moves after the preseason game.
