What happened
Phoenix finished preseason with a 119-116 loss to Utah, but the game was used as a dress rehearsal as the starters played through the first three quarters.
With Oso Ighodaro inactive, Khaman Maluach got a chance to compete for the starting center job while the Suns again opened with Devin Booker, Dillon Brooks and Jalen Green among the first unit.
LINEUP CONTEXT
This suggests Phoenix is still testing its frontcourt rotation before the regular season, and the center battle may remain unresolved until the opener.
