What happened
Warriors coach Steve Kerr said Kristaps Porzingis was not with the team on Thursday, and the veteran big man had already missed preseason camp because of an unspecified health issue with the opener 12 days away.
Kerr said he plans to check in with Porzingis and added there was no new update, while the team still hopes the matter does not linger after signing him to a two-year extension this offseason.
Porzingis' absence leaves Golden State without a clear timeline for his preseason return, so his availability remains a rotation question heading into the opener. The team must keep planning without assuming he will be in camp soon.
