San Antonio said it will treat Friday’s preseason meeting with Sacramento as a full dress rehearsal for next Tuesday’s opener after beating Phoenix in its previous exhibition.
The second half could be Kendall Brown’s first chance to appear in a Spurs uniform after he was signed to replace Jon Elmore on the camp roster, and the team is considering him for a two-way or Austin spot.
The first half should offer a closer look at San Antonio’s regular-season rotation, but the final bench mix is still unsettled. Brown’s preseason run is tryout-style, so his role remains open.
