What happened
In the preseason opener in Macau, Houston beat Dallas 135-117, and both teams got their first look at new-season rosters.
Alperen Şengün posted a 16-point, 10-rebound, 10-assist triple-double, while Dallas played without Kyrie Irving, P.J. Washington and Dereck Lively II, who rested.
Houston's projected first unit already got an early preseason run, but Dallas was missing multiple expected starters, so this game is only a rough rotation preview. The Sunday rematch should offer a cleaner read on both teams' order of operations.
