The article says Kings rookie Darius Acuff Jr. is being handed the offense, while Warriors forward Yaxel Lendeborg is expected to start if Kristaps Porziņģis remains out at opening night.
It also notes Nets guard Egor Brown has not played this preseason because of an ankle injury but could debut Wednesday, and Clippers rookie Keaton Wagler and Houston rookie Kingston Flemings are likely bench pieces to begin the season.
These notes matter because they affect whether each rookie is a primary creator, a starter, or a reserve in early-season lineups. Lendeborg’s role still depends on Porziņģis’ status, and Brown’s availability remains unsettled.
