What happened
Houston rested Kevin Durant, Steven Adams, Fred VanVleet, and Alperen Sengun in the preseason matchup, and Dallas got Kyrie Irving back as it won 132-115.
Marcus Smart started for Houston and scored 20 points, while Clint Capela opened at center and finished with 5 points and 9 rebounds in 24 minutes.
Houston's resting pattern opens minutes for secondary players and camp invites, but its rotation should narrow when it returns home Thursday against Oklahoma City. Irving's return matters for Dallas, though this report does not confirm his workload in future games.
