What happened
Kevin Durant and Jabari Smith Jr. each scored 30 points as Houston built a 70-38 halftime lead and beat Dallas 128-110 in its opener.
Despite preseason talk of lighter minutes, Ime Udoka played Durant 37 minutes, while Tari Eason was ejected and Reed Sheppard logged 16 minutes.
LINEUP CONTEXT
Houston’s opening-night rotation suggests the bench may stay fluid, while Sheppard’s playing time still looks situational if his shot is not falling.
