What happened
Detroit will be without All-Star center Jalen Duren for at least two weeks after he suffered a right hamstring strain. He left the Miami game early in the second quarter after playing 10 minutes.
With Isaiah Stewart traded, Paul Reed is positioned for the bigger center role, Tolu Smith is next in line, and John Collins may log more small-ball five minutes. Ausar Thompson also hurt his ankle against Miami and is questionable for Philadelphia.
Duren's absence could force Detroit to adjust its frontcourt rotation immediately, but Ausar Thompson's status still leaves the exact backup mix unsettled.
