What happened
Detroit enters its preseason meeting with Minnesota still experimenting with new pieces, and the preview notes that Jalen Duren has not played yet while Cade Cunningham sat out the last game.
The piece also says the bench has been a bright spot, while John Collins and Isaiah Joe are still adjusting to their new roles and shots. The game is set for 8 p.m. ET at Target Center.
Detroit’s frontcourt and perimeter rotation remain unsettled, so the game should be watched for whether those regulars return or the team keeps leaning on reserves. The preview does not confirm a final lineup.
