What happened
Philadelphia opened the season with a 106-100 win over New York, holding the Knicks to 37 percent shooting while collecting 28 assists on 37 baskets.
Jaylen Brown, LeBron James, and Anfernee Simons all contributed in their Philadelphia roles, with Simons returning after a preseason hamstring absence and Brown sharing creation duties.
This opener suggests Philadelphia can spread ballhandling across multiple newcomers, though Simons’ bench usage and the larger rotation still need more regular-season sample time.
