What happened
Dallas opened its season with a 128-110 loss in Houston, and the Rockets’ 38-12 second quarter and 29 fast-break points decided the game.
Marcus Sasser made an immediate impression in his Mavericks debut, scoring 17 points on 6-of-8 shooting and hitting four of five from deep.
LINEUP CONTEXT
Dallas’ rotation still looks unsettled, but Sasser’s shooting gives the bench a potential spacer if coach Dusty May trims the early mix.
