What happened
Dallas hosts Atlanta in its final preseason game before the regular season, but the piece says there is no official injury report and lists Dereck Lively and Santi Aldama as out, with Moussa Cisse questionable and Jett Howard uncertain after illness.
The preview also says Daniel Gafford is expected to play, while Marcus Sasser, Cooper Flagg and Kyrie Irving should be on the floor; Atlanta is finishing its fifth exhibition with Henri Veesaar and Mouhamed Gueye ruled out after six of its top seven played Wednesday in Oklahoma.
This is the last preseason tune-up for both teams, so the reported absences and likely returns matter for how Dallas and Atlanta sort out frontcourt and backcourt minutes. The final rotation picture is still incomplete because several statuses remain unofficial.
