What happened
Long Island opened its season Friday with a 121-111 loss to Greensboro, but Brooklyn prospects Drake Powell, Ben Saraf, Joshua Jefferson, Grant Nelson and Tyler Bilodeau all saw meaningful run.
Saraf led the group in assists with seven despite eight points, Jefferson posted 15 points, six rebounds and three assists after a delayed debut, and Bilodeau added 13 points and five steals.
These G League minutes matter because Brooklyn’s young wing and backcourt options remain crowded, so strong two-way play could shape future call-up opportunities.
