LeBron James made his Sixers debut Tuesday against the Knicks, working more as an offensive connector than a primary initiator and finishing with 14 points, nine rebounds, and seven assists.
Philadelphia also used James with Tyrese Maxey in pick-and-roll and empty-side actions, where his short-roll passing created looks and showed a role he has not played much before.
That two-man game could widen Philadelphia’s half-court options, but the opener also showed James still needs time finishing rolls consistently.
