What happened
The Lakers have reshaped their roster this offseason and made Luka Dončić the clear focal point, backing him with additions such as Walker Kessler, Austin Reaves, and Ziaire Williams.
Los Angeles got its first preseason look at that new core against Denver on Oct. 16, and the group’s 13 shared minutes finished minus-four while Dončić also connected with Williams on multiple first-half lobs.
This suggests the Lakers’ early rotation will be shaped by how quickly the new pieces fit around Dončić, not by a fully settled lineup. Their season opener against Golden State is Wednesday, but the article still leaves the exact opening-night roles uncertain.
