What happened
The Knicks finalized their 2026-27 roster on Saturday by waiving Bruce Brown and keeping James Wiseman on the regular-season roster.
Wiseman appeared in four preseason games and averaged 8.0 points and 4.3 rebounds, and New York plans to convert his Exhibit 9 camp deal into a league-minimum contract.
Wiseman gives New York another reserve center option behind Karl-Anthony Towns and Andre Drummond, but his regular-season role still appears limited. Brown is now available to seek another landing spot.
