What happened
James Wiseman and Bruce Brown got through preseason cuts, but New York can only keep one under the second apron unless it trades a standard-contract player without taking salary back.
If the Knicks want to keep Brown, they need to finish a move by Monday afternoon, and the report says they may explore deals involving Pacome Dadiet or Tyler Kolek while seeking salary-free returns.
This leaves one roster spot unresolved and could force a pre-opening-night trade or draft-pick sweetener. Until that happens, Brown’s place on the team remains contingent on a deal.
