What happened
Josh Hart said the championship chatter has been hard to shake, and he wants Tuesday’s opener to help New York move past last season’s title celebrations. The game at Madison Square Garden is set to come with a ring presentation and banner raise before the Knicks face the 76ers.
Mike Brown said even a coach has to stay even-keeled during a night like this, and Jalen Brunson said the group must check its egos and treat it as a new season. The article frames the evening as a mental test, not a change to the roster or game plan.
The ceremony should not alter New York’s rotation, but it could affect early-game focus for a mostly familiar title core. The article does not identify any lineup change, so the key unknown is how quickly the Knicks settle into normal game rhythm.
