What happened
Washington opens its season at home Wednesday against Milwaukee, and rookie No. 1 pick AJ Dybantsa is still day-to-day after injuring his ankle in the preseason finale.
The Wizards also list Tristan Vikcevic out with a hip injury and Jamir Watkins out for the season with an ACL injury, leaving more early rotation uncertainty around their frontcourt and wing depth.
Dybantsa’s availability could alter Washington’s opening-night wing minutes, but the report does not confirm a return. The other injuries leave the Wizards with fewer options if he cannot go.
