What happened
Philadelphia spoiled New York’s banner night with a 106-100 win, while Andre Drummond filled Mitchell Robinson’s backup-center role and produced an immediate spark in his Knicks debut.
Jalen Brunson led the Knicks with 21 points, but Karl-Anthony Towns spent early stretches in foul trouble and finished with 19 points, 12 rebounds, and two blocks.
Drummond’s early production could keep him in the center rotation, but Towns’ foul trouble and New York’s uneven shooting leave roles and closing groups unsettled.
