What happened
The Lakers opened a season without LeBron James on the roster for the first time since 2017, and Luka Dončić led Wednesday’s 127-105 win over Golden State with 28 points.
Los Angeles used a heavily revised rotation, with only Dončić, Austin Reaves and Jake LaRavia returning from last season among pre-garbage-time players, while LaRavia later appeared to roll his ankle.
The new rotation mix could keep roles fluid early, and LaRavia’s ankle issue may further thin wing minutes if he misses time.
