What happened
Doug Christie said Darius Acuff Jr. played too many minutes after the rookie logged a season-high 42 in Sacramento's 116-103 loss to the Lakers.
The Kings remain without a true backup point guard, with Ben Simmons out by a torn Achilles and Malik Monk still inconsistent, leaving Acuff second in league minutes.
LINEUP CONTEXT
That workload suggests Sacramento may need more guard support or shorter bursts for Acuff until the roster gains another reliable ball handler.
