What happened
Boston will use a heavily developmental starting group in its final preseason game against Philadelphia, with four Exhibit-10 players and rookie Chris Cenac Jr. listed in the first five.
The 76ers are expected to be much closer to full strength, with LeBron James, Jaylen Brown, Kentavious Caldwell-Pope, Joel Embiid and Tyrese Maxey available after sitting in the teams’ previous meeting, and Sam Cassell coaching Philadelphia.
This suggests Boston is using the finale to evaluate fringe rotation options rather than previewing its regular-season core. Philadelphia’s available starters make the matchup a stronger test, but the opening-night rotation still remains unsettled.
