Bruce Brown is on a non-guaranteed training-camp deal with New York and has drawn praise after a preseason outing against Washington, with Jalen Brunson saying he can help the team.
The Knicks are trying to stay below the second apron and have room for only one veteran addition, so the report says Brown is competing with other camp players for a roster spot.
This matters because New York may need to choose between Brown and a veteran big, and that decision could shape the final bench rotation. Brown’s spot is still unresolved until the team makes a roster move.
