What happened
Boston forced 16 Chicago turnovers, including 10 steals, and now ranks third in opponent turnovers and deflections per game early this season.
That is a change from last year, when the Celtics had a top-four defense but forced the league's second-fewest turnovers, while six players had steals Friday.
LINEUP CONTEXT
If Boston keeps generating turnovers, it can control rotation-heavy games early, but second-half pressure and rebounding lapses could blunt that advantage.
