What happened
Austin Reaves made his preseason debut Thursday against Sacramento after missing the Lakers' first two exhibition games with an ankle issue from practice.
He started alongside Luka Doncic, Quentin Grimes, Adou Thiero and Kevon Looney, while several other Lakers, including Walker Kessler and Collin Sexton, were unavailable.
Reaves' return gives Lakers coach JJ Redick another starter-level option to sort out before the final two preseason games. Kessler's finger will be checked Friday, but the team said the issue is not considered serious.
